Chad Taylor has worked at South Shore Marina for as long as he can remember. The youngest son of Tom and Lisa Taylor, Chad started his career working during the summer on the dock at the Marina. Chad continued to work at the family marina throughout his high school years and while on breaks from college. He also joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve in July of 2000 and still serves in the reserves. Chad has been away from South Shore only for the two years he spent working in the auto industry and for the time required to serve on active duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Liberty Shield/Enduring Freedom. Chad now coordinates boat sales for the dealership.
Chad serves on several marine industry panels and was appointed by former Gov. Ted Strickland to the Ohio Waterways Safety Council. He has also earned honors as a Top Ten Lowe Boats salesperson, and was nominated by Boating Industry Magazine as being one of the Top 35 Young Industry Leaders under the age of 40. Chad continues to be an advocate for boater’s voices all over Southern Ohio. As well, he is active in the American Legion where he has served as several post officers and district officers. Chad enjoys boating, musky fishing, the Cincinnati Bengals, and riding his Harley-Davidson. Chad is married to his wife Stacy and they have three daughters; Brooklyn, Jenna, and Temperance.
