  • Position Title: Marine Service Technician REPORTS TO: G.M./Service Advisor

    Complete all jobs assigned promptly, properly and professionally, keeping cost to the customer at a minimum and profitability of the dealership in mind.

    Ob Duties/Responsibilities

    • Completes all assigned work
    • Maintains clean work station
    • Maintains clean personal appearance
    • Performs other related duties as assigned
    • Accepts work only from foreman or Service Advisor
    • Maintains company vehicles to the highest standard
    • Wears appropriate safety/protective gear at all times
    • Follows manufacturer warranty policies and procedures
    • Review all recalls, service bulletins and product updates
    • Endures all safety policies and procedures are adhered to
    • Follows all safety precautions and procedures at all times
    • Reports all low inventory or shortages of materials needed
    • Returns each work order to manager immediately upon job completion
    • Diligent work ethic to complete jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Returns any incomplete work orders to manager/shop foreman at end of shift
    • Exercises precaution to ensure cleanliness of boat (booties, runners, covers etc.)
    • Submit work orders/parts requests to service manager to obtain customer authorized parts
    • Attends training sessions and seminars as needed to gain and maintain certification by all manufacturers.
    • Ensures all tools and equipment are maintained and in good repair and returned to proper storage location at end of shift

    Requirements

    • Basic knowledge of computers
    • Good health and physical mobility
    • A high school diploma or equivalent
    • Have a valid state driver’s license
    • Marine/boat service experience preferred
    • Must have essential mechanical and technical skills
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
    • Seasonal environment, overtime is possible in main season
    • Willingness to learn, adapt and be part of a top performing team
    • Willingness to work outdoors and in all weather types occasionally

  • Position Title: Parts & Accessories Sales Associate Reports To: General Manager

    The Parts Sales Associate contributes to the efficient and profitable operation of the Parts and Accessories Department by delivering superior customer service and assisting with pickups, deliveries and inventory control duties that include ordering, receiving, stocking and sales tracking.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities

    • Customer Satisfaction - Greet customers promptly and courteously; Meet customer demands for parts and accessories; Exhibit proper telephone technique with customers; Handle complaints in accordance with department policy
    • Sales - Process sales from retail customers, suggest additional related parts for completing the repair/sales; Process sales from internal customers;
    • Interdepartmental Relations - Cooperate with technicians to expedite repairs; Cooperate with the Sales Department to provide add-on options as requested; Process all paperwork regarding repairs on a timely basis
    • Expense Control - Assist in efficient inventory control to limit special orders (i.e., dally bin checks, processing, returns, posting, etc.); Maintain effective repair order controls; Track parts and supplies provided to technicians per repair order; Distribute special orders promptly and ensure a consistent follow-up policy to relieve inventory
    • Housekeeping/Safety - Keep counters, bins, and storage areas clean and uncluttered; Maintain a proper filing system; Maintain parts displays; Promptly remove boxes and packing; Stock Items in proper bins upon shipment arrival
    • Personal - Maintain professional attire according to dealership policy; Be prompt and dependable; Maintain a pleasant demeanor at all times
    • Parts Availability - Record back orders; Coordinate pickups and deliveries; Update-parts books with supplements; Be aware of factory policies regarding parts and service bulletins; Follow up Special Orders; Ensure best means of shipment

  • Position Title: Service Support Specialist Reports To: Gm/Service Manager

    Service Support Specialist are the go-to folks in our dealership. They primarily work in the service department assisting technicians with moving boats in and out, staging tools and parts, cleaning shop bays, unloading units, cleaning and detailing boats and much more. They also assist the retail staff where needed.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities

    • Maintains all clean-up areas daily
    • Attends department meetings as required
    • Performs other related duties as assigned
    • Assist customers with dropping off units for service
    • Assist marine technicians with day-to-day activities.
    • Offloads new boats, trailers, and motors upon delivery
    • Follows all safety precautions and procedures at all times
    • Assist admin and sales personnel with day to day activities
    • Reports all low inventory or shortages of clean-up products
    • Ensures all equipment is in good working condition at all times
    • Ensures all equipment is returned to appropriate place after use
    • Reports all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to department head
    • Ensures the dealership property is maintained as a clean, safe environment
    • Cleans new, used and customer boats Polishes and waxes boats as necessary or as instructed
    • Responsible for checking cleanliness of all service boats, covers installed properly and ready for pick up.
    • Transports boats, trailers, and motors to and from offsite locations including customer locations, boat shows, etc.
    • Conducts the safe and efficient moving of boats in and on the dealership property, including hauling, launching, and docking.

    Requeriments

    • 18 years old

    • Have a valid state driver's license
    • Ability to follow orders with a willingness to learn
    • Familiarity of boats and backing trailers is helpful
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
    • Ability to work in the outdoors and occasionally lift heavy objects
    • Currently have or the ability to get an Ohio Boaters Education Card if required by Ohio law. (Born on or after Jan. 1, 1982.)
